Description

Over the years, Joaquín has been collecting old Super 8 home movies that he has found in street markets and second hand shops. These memories, now forgotten by their owners, have an incredible visual richness in movements, colours and textures but even more importantly, they contain the nostalgic poetry of people and stories lost in time. So when Andrea Mi, the curator of ONE MINUTE SUITE PROJECT, invited Joaquín to create the visual counterpart of one-minute musical piece LATE ASPIRATIONS from the Italian electronic musician A RED CAT IN THE DOGHOUSE, the forgotten pieces of stories blend perfectly into the cyclic and nostalgic atmosphere of the song just like the Super 8 movies running through the blinking projector, burning subtly when stopped, finding their present.
